Because of these assumptions there were a couple of times where I was surprised to discover what was really going on. I typically predict what's going to happen in movies, so the little twists made the movie that much more enjoyable. I thought they handled the issue of her mental illness with sensitivity and compassion. It was funny, yes, but had real emotional depth as well. That depth made watching it a true delight. I felt the acting was honest and beautifully given. I've been on a foreign film kick lately and this is definitely one of my favorites.
